2018 Farm Fundraiser
END OF SEASON UPDATE: Thank you so much to everyone who came out on our fundraiser day to support KK and her family. With your help we raised just shy of $5,000. Our farm rounded it up and gave $5,000 to KK’s family. The money has since been passed along to other children across the country battling DIPG in KK’s memory. Thank you for your support of another successful fundraiser at the farm!
This year’s Fall Farm Fundraiser will benefit Kaisy Knott & her family. Kaisy or “KK” is currently battling a childhood Brain Cancer.
UPDATE: It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we share the unexpected passing of Kaisy on September 10th. Our farm will still host the fundraiser in honor of Kaisy and proceeds will go to her family to help with medical bills and funeral costs.
Come out to the farm for our 5th Annual Winterbrook Farm’s Fall Farm Fundraiser! This is a fun-filled day on the farm where all proceeds are donated to a local family fighting cancer. This year, we have decided to dedicate the day to Kaisy Knott (KK) and her family in memory of our father Jan Lawyer (the Founder of Winterbrook Farms) and those who have & are battling cancer. It is always a blast and always a success!
A little about Kaisy:
Kaisy is not your normal 13 year old. She is an 8th grader at Windsor Knolls Middle School and she is an over-the-top achiever on many levels. She not only shows her Shorthorn cattle in 4-H, but she also breeds and raises them herself along with marketing her hogs! She is on the 4-H judging team and loves being a part of the barrel races at the J Bar W Ranch. She has a passion for hunting, 4 wheeling, and making hay with her father. She has also won every Peddle Pull contest she has ever entered! And if that weren’t enough, she has a smile that will melt your heart and she is extremely grateful. She is a worker and fighter, but now she is in a much bigger fight, a fight for her life. Kaisy has been diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), a childhood brain cancer. She has undergone many surgeries and spent many days in treatments and yet she continues to fight through it with a smile on her face. Kaisy is a loved member of the local farming community and we are looking forward to hosting the fundraiser day to support her.
It will be a regular day on the farm with all activities available! So come spend a fun-filled day on the farm knowing that every dollar you spend will be going to a great cause. Just in the last 3 years, our farm has raised over $30,000 for the American Cancer Society. So come on this special day, for a great cause and help us surpass our goal of $40,000 raised toward the fight against cancer!
This year’s corn maze design is a tribute to Kaisy. Come get lost in her 6+ mile corn maze! 🙂
Also, please visit our fundraiser page… Of course we will gladly accept donations for Kaisy leading up to our event.
