The 2018 maze theme is “We Support you KK!” We have decided to dedicate this year’s maze design to a courageous young lady named Kaisy Knott “KK” who is battling DIPG, which is a childhood brain cancer.
UPDATE: It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the unexpected passing of Kaisy “KK” Knott on Monday, September 10th.
A little about Kaisy: Kaisy is not your normal 13 year old. She is an 8th grader at Windsor Knolls Middle School and she is an over-the-top achiever on many levels. She not only shows her Shorthorn cattle in 4-H, but she also breeds and raises them herself along with marketing her hogs! She is on the 4-H judging team and loves being a part of the barrel races at the J Bar W Ranch. She has a passion for hunting, 4 wheeling, and making hay with her father. She has also won every Peddle Pull contest she has ever entered! And if that weren’t enough, she has a smile that will melt your heart and she is extremely grateful. She is a worker and fighter, but now she is in a much bigger fight, a fight for her life. Kaisy has been diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), a childhood brain cancer. She has undergone many surgeries and spent many days in treatments and yet she continues to fight through it with a smile on her face. Kaisy is a loved member of the local farming community and we are looking forward to hosting the fundraiser day to support her. Click here for more information on the fundraiser day for Kaisy!
Welcome to the home of Maryland’s Largest Corn Maze! There are a total of 4 separate corn mazes with a total of 7.1 miles of trails over 30 acres of corn for you to find all 18 checkpoints in. See if you can make it through the entire corn maze and come out with all 18 checkpoints! Even better, come prepared with teams and challenge each other to a little friendly competition. Loser pays for yummy Kettle Corn at the farm! (Please note: if you have little ones or you aren’t up for the challenge of the entire corn maze, you can do one of the shorter mazes and it should only take you 15-20 minutes to do!)
Just a tip for you, each checkpoint has a uniquely shaped hole punch, so there is no cheating!
How to play
In the maze there are 18 check points (a green post with a number and a hole-puncher attached) the goal is to find all of them. Once you find a check point, example: post #7, you take the attached puncher and punch out #7 on the bottom of your map… Yes it’s that easy!
Just don’t forget your walking on the lines on your map! Not the space in between! (we will provide maps)
